The
Nahatlatch River's incredible jade-green colour blends idyllically
with a panoramic backdrop of snow-capped peaks, rich forests and sheer
canyon walls.
The
Nahatlatch is so perfect for rafting because of the near-continuous,
rapid-fire whitwater. The Classic section features 25 rapids over
a 10 km stretch. The Nahatlatch Canyon is the Class IV and V rapids
of the Nahatlatch river and are added on the the Classic run. This
3 km section has 12 incredible rapids, including several ledge drops.
The steep-walled canyon creates an adrenaline-filled run as each bend
in the river reveals a new surprise. With a greadient of 85 feet per
mile, the Nahatlatch is rated one of the five best adventure travel
values in British Columbia. In fact, few rivers in North America offer
such continuous action yet are still suitable for first-time rafters.
The Stein
River is Canada's most unique and challenging rafting run. As the
steepest commercially rafted river in Canada, the Stein drops an amazing
150 feet per mile. This is the only rafting company in Canada with
operating and Park permits to raft the Stein. All paddlers must have
previous paddle rafting experience and assist the guides in hiking
equipment at the put-in.
Your guides
are reputed to be the best in the adventure industry as an innovator
in safety and service. The first to implement safety kayakers, your
guides go above and beyond the government safety requirements. Self-bailing
rafts, full-body O-Neill wetsuits and America's Cup lifejackets are

in the industry. The small paddle rafts give the guides the opportunity
to get to know you better and provide the most fun with the highest
level of safety and camaraderie.
As well as rafting down one of the best rivers in North America, you
will enjoy rapelling down a 55-foot canyon wall or for the more faint
of heart, enjoy hiking through an old-growth forest to spectacular
Mehatl Falls. You can also substitute a scenic river float for the
whitewater adventure.

Your program can be altered to accommodate families. Kids Rock is
a unique family program that introduces whitewater to children and
younger teens (ages 6-14). From mid-July to mid-August, families with
children can enjoy all the easy and intermediate rapids of the Nahatlatch
Classic with senior raft guides. If you are not sure about doing whitewater
with your children, you may wish to first try out the Scenic Float
on the beautiful upper Nahatlatch (no rapids).
