Enjoy 4 or 7 days mountain biking into the wilderness of the Chilcotin area. Depending on your abilities and interests, you will either stay at the ranch or alpine camps. Packages are full service tours, complete with guide and cook. Day 1. Arrive Vancouver. You will overnight at your Vancouver accommodations. Enjoy British Columbia's largest city. Day 2. The Chilcotin Express, a maxi van, will pick you up at your hotel. You will be transported along the Sea to Sky Highway, past Whistler and over the picturesque Hurley Pass to the Chilcotin. Tonight you will prepare for your mountain biking trip. You may want to take a short ride to try out the terrain. Day 3- 4 or 7. Today begins your wilderness biking experience! The 5,000 square km guide territory lies within a transition zone between the Coast Mountains and the Chilcotin Plateau. The area is renowned for its biodiversity with vegetation ranging from Douglas fir to alpine tundra. The guide area encompasses an outstanding variety of wildlife. California bighorn sheep, moose, mule deer, mountain goat, Grizzly, Black bear and wolf are plentiful and frequently sighted. The route travelled depends on the interests and skills of the group. Chilcotin Holidays matches groups in abilities and interests. Accommodations may be at the ranch or in back country tent camps. Day 5 or 8. Last day at the ranch. Enjoy the morning biking or relaxing at the ranch. The Chilcotin Express will transport you back to Vancouver. Overnight in Vancouver. Day 6 or 9. Your backcountry biking trip has ended.
