April Point, located on remote Quadra Island, is "paradise away from the crowds." Only a 10 minute shuttle ride from the amenities of Painter's Lodge, April Point can be your fishing hideaway.

Day 1 Vancouver - Campbell River (Fly-in)
Arrive Vancouver. Transfer to Pacific Coastal Airlines for the flight to Campbell River. An escort to Painter's Lodge or April Point will begin your wonderful fishing vacation! Your fishing holiday starts today with your first excursion onto the water. Venture into a 17 ft. Boston Whaler to experience saltwater fishing. Rain gear, bait, fuel, tackle, fish care, and packaging for transport are all included.

Day 2 - 4 Campbell River
Your package includes one 4-hour guided salmon fishing trip daily to be scheduled at your convenience. When not salmon fishing, explore the area or relax in your resort accommodations. Add an Air and Sea Adventure* to your package for an additional experience.

Day 3 or 5 Campbell River - Vancouver (Fly-out)
No fishing on departure day. You will be transferred back to the airport for the flight back to Vancouver International Airport.

* Air and Sea Adventure. Enjoy a 2 1/2 hour cruise on a catamaran while spotting wildlife along the way. A short stop at a fish farm is just an added bonus. Enjoy lunch at Morgan's Landing Resort for a simple west coast meal. After lunch enjoy a floatplane trip back to Campbell River. This trip is offered on Saturdays only and may be done in reverse (floatplane trip first).

Ucluelet, on the west coast of Vancouver Island, is well known for its salmon fishing. The untamed waters of the west coast provide an exhilarating fishing experience that cannot be missed. At the Canadian Princess Resort, you can stay in a spacious oceanside room or on board the Canadian Princess ship, a floating hotel moored in the sheltered bay of Barkley Sound. Day 2-3 Ucluelet
Enjoy the guided 7-hour fishing trips in the open waters of the Pacific Ocean. Encounter the marine life and marvel at the beautiful scenery. The deep water is popular for fishing salmon, halibut, ling cod and red snapper. You will be taken right where the fish are biting. All fishing equipment and cleaning of catch is included.

Day 3 or 4 Tofino - Vancouver (Fly-out)
Your departure day includes a last day of fishing before returning to Vancouver.

Drive or fly to Tyax Mountain Lodge Resort on beautiful Tyaughton Lake in the heart of the Chilcotin area of British Columbia. Tyaughton means "lake of jumping fish" in the native language and retains a reputation for pan-size Rainbow Trout. You can find Bull Tour (Dolly Varden), Kokanee and Eastern Brook Trout in nearby lakes and streams. Your stay includes 2 days of fly-out fishing to a remote fishing lake.

Day 1 Vancouver - Tyax Mountain Resort
Arrival at Tyax Resort by plane or automobile*. Tyax Mountain Resort is a remote first class Wilderness Resort. The resort has all amenities including a fitness center and outdoor hot tub. Stay in a spacious resort room or for larger groups, accommodations can be in lakeside log chalets. Your stay is inclusive of all the meals.

Day 2-3 Tyax Mountain Resort
Enjoy your breakfast at the lakeview dining room before taking the breathtaking flight to a remote alpine lake for a day of fishing in Canada's wilderness. Fly-out fishing, boat rentals, fishing equipment, tackle, and a delicious, hearty packed lunch are included. There is excellent hiking in flowered alpine meadows and fossils can be found in the area. You will return to the resort in the late afternoon still in time to relax or try your luck on Tyaughton Lake or any of the area's other lakes and creeks.

Day 4 Tyax Mountain Resort - Vancouver
Today is your return trip to Vancouver.

*Rent a car in Vancouver and drive to Tyax Mountain Resort. Driving time is 6 hours. You may have an additional night stay in Vancouver at the beginning and end of your trip depending on arrival and departure time in Vancouver. Double Diamond Holidays Canada can make all arrangements for you.
